My Workdesk Today

Well , it has been a while  since I've posted on WWW. So I thought I would share with those of you who are sharing your work desk today.I have two projects I am working on :  (1)Calendula Patterdrip's Cottage from Crabapple Hill Studio. (2) Fairy Doll

A Halloween Quilt

Pattern

To share with you honestly I am not a quilter, but this one intrigued me and gave me a challenge. I like the design because each block has a little piece work and design. Once the design is traced on then you color with crayons, heat set and then embroidery the outline of the design. I am getting excited about the way it is turning out so far.

My fairy doll below is something I have been wanted to try for awhile. I visited the local library for the book that I used the pattern from but failed to snap of shot of the cover for you.

I will share a little about her, in the background you see the wings, made from water soluble paper, I traced the design and then sewed around it with mutli colored thread. When to my liking of the thickness of thread I then trim, wet and pat dry the wings, this was fun, to see how this product works. For the body and legs I used a light weight almost like canvas material and and sprayed with Tye Dye colors.I like the way the mixture blended. I found  an old pair of stockings (washed of course) that I am planning on using for the hair and some clothing.
Her face I drew  on and then painted the facial features. Enough from my desk and I am curious,so I am off to visit Stamping Ground to see what others are doing on their desks. Enjoy the day.

What Have I Been Up To and Created Since January

It has been a while since my last post. To let you know  I have been in school, working and taking care of the days that life has to offer. I  do find a  little  to read and see what everyone is creating. I have managed to get some creativity going and produce a few Seed Thoughts. Here is a couple thoughts:

A great find for $25 at a garage sale.Made a coffee/tea bar.

The skirt is made of burlap and scrap material and great trim I had in my supply. It also came with a top and a shelve to hang some utensils. My husband mounted  that part  to a desk for organization in one of the kids room.

Another thought:

My bird garden creation. I had the frame for years and I purchased the paper at the Scrapbook Convention this year when I attended. I loved this project, I created it one night when everyone had gone to sleep and it just flowed right out. I always enjoy unexpected pleasures.I have hung it in my green house which I will share the excitement and photos of the backyard and green house in the next few post.Hope everyone had a great July 4th and are enjoying summer.

2 New Creations

Here it is the end of the 1st month of a new year. This month has been exciting, stressful, and a little personal growth taken place. I have been starting each day expecting great things to happen. This is a short post. I have managed to share with you a couple of photos of two of my new creations. Here is a  new Spring cloche . Isn't the bird so sweet? The sign inside says Sweet Life. Good words to remember.

I was searching blogs one day and came upon Neelz Expressionz. Very creative, fun to read and interesting. He has some neat tutorials and  I took some time to try  making paper flowers. Yeah! I had just bought some new double sided scrapbook paper.Great time to use it.Here are my three flowers.

I thought they turned out good for my first try at making paper flowers.Be sure and take a visit over to see Neelz.
Well, I did tell you this was a short post. Just thought I would share a little creativity. Hope your week is great.
