Fabulous Finds

How has your week been? Over the last two weeks I have the fun of enjoying Fabulous Finds for $1to$5.
One Saturday morning I was returning home and some of those yellow, red and bright colored signs caught my eye. So, I  pulled in my driveway scurried into my extra cash and off to the sales. I was looking for dominos for an Altered Art project. Look at one of my Fabulous Finds.

They were $5.00 a piece . I can't wait to get to start working on them . A good project for when the weather really cools off . Then the next week we were helping sort and price items at a school parking lot sale (fundraiser). I came across this:

This load of fabric was in a box marked $5.00. We are talking decorator fabrics and yardage not just pieces.
It's all the color scheme I love. Let's go on:

The lamp $2.00, the urn $1.00, and the cool birdhouse also a $1.00. Ok! they may not be fabs to everyone
but I'm have enjoyed sharing them with you. What Fabulous Finds have you found? Share! Share ! I smell
my dinner calling. Don't forget create and inspire with a fabulous find .

Shoes! Shoes!- WOWW

I am here this week on WOWW. Julie over at Stamping Ground host What's On Your Workdesk Wednesday.
Click on over to check out a lot of creative ideas from all who  participate. This week on my workdesk I am
making shoes.
I received an order in Sept. at the craft fair. They are a great way to say Thank you, I'm thinking of you, name plates  for a place setting for afternoon tea . A great way to hand deliver a thank you note in this high tech world of communication and what a reward we receive when we see the expression on the recipient's face.
I'm off  to visit other work desks. Have a GREAT day/week.

AUTUMN! IT'S AWESOME

Autumn is one of my favorite time of year. The air starts to cool down , people seems to be a little happier from the heat. Leaves rolling by, acorns on the ground . Splashes of yellow ,burgandy, and orange. People start setting out their decorations  and planning  Fall carnivals. Fun times ahead. I wanted to share some of my Fall decorations with you . Enjoy.

Greeters as you walk up to the front door .

                                                 Welcome!    Welcome!

Cherub in the entry . She likes to decorate for the different seasons.

Ms. Scarecrow, her young ones and wise ole owl keeping watch for the crow.

Ms. Owl keeps her spot on this end of the mantel. She loves the glittered acorn she found.

WOYW#66

I'm ready to go visiting work desks to see what the minds have been creating. I've been busy with the craft fair and had good results. I was pleased . WOOHOO! Here is whats on my workdesk today:

Can you guess what it is? It is going to be my new sign I can change Greetings and sayings on for the different seasons. A neighbor down the street had an Adirondack chair on her front porch that was deteriorating and she was going to throw it in the trash. I said I'll take the back of the chair when you get ready to throw it in the trash. The next day I came home and noticed something on my porch and she had placed the back of the chair at the door. I measured  to have a border around and painted  the center with chalkboard paint. I can't wait to use my chalk to draw and print. I have something else on my desk too. Are you a Alice inWonderland fan? Check out this new paper from Graphic 45.

This is going to be a Alice in Wonderland Banner for my mantel. To cool. Fall is coming slowly. But anticipating the cool breeze, leaves ,and pumpkins. Here is a close up on a couple of the cards.

I embellished a little with some glitter. Hope you can see.

On this one I used a gold glitter at the pumpkins eyes and mouth and a sparkle gold leave in the bottom right corner.I'll be finishing up today. You will see a better photo in my fall decorating post in a few weeks. Be sure to visit me .Well I'm going to other desks now.

WOWW #63

Fall is coming slowly. My creative inspiration today are these adorable candy corns made from felt.

The idea came from creative breathing. Awesome blog and great artist. I started these last Friday with my friend over at la la by mona . I will be finishing them up today. When all made you chain stitch (crochet) a length (whatever size you may need) and hang the corn on  to make a garland.

Hope everyone has a GREAT Wednesday . You with see the garland in later post when I post about Fall Decorating. Enjoy.
